Sonam Kapoor Reveals her Fitness Secret



Sonam Kapoor’s Diet Secrets: 


 Sonam took everyone by surprise with her drastic weight loss prior to joining the film industry. It was her mother’s support and a strong motivation to lose weight that helped her to get rid of excess weight.  Her mother made sure her that her daughter kept her distance from all the fattening foods like chocolate, ice creams, fried foods and sweets.

1. Sonam followed a strict diet routine which comprised of six small low on carbs and high on protein meals. For breakfast she restricted herself to oatmeal and fruits.
2. Post workout she used to have brown bread with egg whites, followed by a protein shake and juice.
3. Her lunch comprised of dal, sabzi, ragi roti, salad and a piece of chicken or fish.
4. For evening snacks she would have high fiber foods like crackers with chicken, cold cuts or egg whites.
5. For dinner she would have just soup, salad and a piece of chicken.
6.  To maintain a healthy skin and to flush out all the toxins, Sonam drinks a glass of lukewarm water with honey and lime juice daily.
7. Following the footsteps of many Hollywood actressese, Sonam has adopted the policy of not having anything late at night to give her time to burn the calories.
8.  Sonam said “I have about five to six meals in a day. For breakfast I have three egg whites and a bowl of porridge. For lunch I have brown rice, chicken, dal, vegetables and dahi. For dinner I have chicken, eggs or fish with a bowl of vegetables and one chapatti. I snake on crackers and fruits throughout the day as well”. Even after a following a healthy diet, Sonam just cannot get enough of chocolates.

7 Tips to Lose Weight Faster




Preparing for weight loss ? Then you will need to make a variety of changes to your diet  , exercise routine  and life style during the month to help you drop excess weight and improve your overall health .

1.Eat High-Protein Breakfast - Many people skip breakfast ,thinking they're saving themselves some calories. This rarely works - you end up overeating at other times of the day when you become too hungry. Go for grain based breakfast with high protein foods like eggs , milk etc.

2.Drink More Water- Water helps your body to flush out toxins and helps keep you hydrated--which helps keep you energized. Drink at least 10 glass of water per day. Drinking water before meals help you eat fewer calories and lose 44% more weight.

3.Cut out Unhealthy Foods-  like Soda, Chips & Crackers , Candy , Desserts, White Pasta ,  breads , rice.

4.Include regular aerobic exercise- You have to make time for exercise. Go for a walk before work or may be go to the gym right after work. Aim for 60 minutes of aerobic exercise each day.( like running , dancing, swimming, hiking)

Happiness to us is anything that can bring a smile to someone's face. I would love to be happier , as i am sure most people would . Here are some ways to become a happier person.

1.Get Busy: It's no secret that stress can get you down. Being busy gives a self accomplishment. It gives a sense of adrenaline and a feeling of purpose. When you are busy your mind is switched on and you are constantly thinking, Making your brain work that little bit harder than it normally does. Being busy means you are learning and developing. The fact that your mind is switched on and you're doing different things means you are developing yourself as a person. Being busy simply means you don't have time to have negative thoughts.

2.Exercise: Exercise has such a profound effect on our happiness and well-being that it's actually been proven to be an effective strategy for overcoming depression . Physical activities helps our bodies produce disease-fighting proteins called antibodies and our brains release endorphins. While antibodies boost happiness by keeping illness at bay, endorphins are feel-good chemicals that improve your mood while promoting feelings of euphoria. To top it all off,research suggests that regular activity may lead to lasting happiness. So it's safe to say your gym membership pays off physically and mentally in the long run.

3.Stay close to friends and family: We live in a mobile society, Where people follow jobs around the country and sometimes around the world. We do this because we think salary increases make us happier, but in fact ,our relationships with friends and family have a far greater impact on happiness. If it isn't possible to move closer to your loved ones,communicate with them regularly . Several studies have found that time spent with friends and family makes a big difference to how happy we feel, generally.

4.Practice Smiling: When you smile, Whether you are happy or not, your mood is elevated. This is especially true if all your facial muscles,including the ones around your eyes get involved. So smile whenever you can , smiling reinforces happiness,just as happiness causes smiling. Smiling releases endorphins ,which are associated with pain relief, and serotonin, which is associated with happy feelings.

5.Forgive: Forgiveness is something yo do for you, not for the other person. Holding on to anger and hate can cause you immense hurt. And forgiveness doesn't mean denying that the other person did something wrong. Remember that forgiveness isn't conditional.If you make forgiveness contingent on a particular result or action,you could be waiting forever. It can be hard to forgive others because they may never admit or suffer consequences from their wrongdoing. Value forgiveness as a way to let go of something that can hurt you, not as a way to ensure anything happens to the person.

6.Listen Music:  Research shows listening to music with the goal and desire to become happier may actually lead to greater happiness than simply listening for sake of listening. So the next time you pump up the volume , keep that positive intention in mind you may just find yourself smiling a little wider.

How to say Sorry to the one you love


Whatever mistake you made , knowing how to say sorry with sincerity is the first step in repairing your relationship and getting things back on track. Obviously some mistakes are bigger than others and can't be easily forgiven, no matter how much you want to say sorry. But on those other occasions when you messed up unintentionally, saying you're sorry should always be done in a kind and thoughtful way. Here are some tips on how to say sorry to your wife or husband.

1. Don't blame your spouse for how you behaved. Take responsibility for the things that you said and did that were hurtful. Don't try to defend yourself or justify the situation or your action.

2.Including a statement of regret such as" i know I've hurt your feelings" or "I'm so sorry for that" along with a promise that it won't happen again are important to rebuilding the relationship  and are key ingredients to any apology . After all, there is no value in apologizing for something that you will do again and again.

3.Use words and phrases that sound like words you would actually use . Don't  try to be someone else when you apologize for your blunder. Being fake is the worst way to say sorry.

4.If you are writing a note to say sorry to your wife or husband , put some thought into your writing materials. A handwritten card is far more personal and sincere than a message sent by text or email.

5. Let go of your expectation for how your spouse will react when you say you are sorry. He or she may need time to let your apology sink in. Forgiveness may not be granted right away. Give your partner the space he or she needs to process what happened.

Tips for beautiful skin in summer



Beautiful skin is the attire and desire of every woman.In summer season special care is needed to keep the skin beautiful and refreshing. Rays of sun in summer takes off the moisture from skin which can cause acne and wrinkles.Following are the must follow tips for beautiful skin in summer:-

Cleansing: The first and very important tip for beautiful skin in summer is cleansing. Wash your face with water several times a day.After that you should use cleansing milk or cleansing lotion for cleaning oily skin. For normal to dry skin one needs cleansing cream or gel. If you want to use homemade cleanser gram flour(besan) is best. Cleansing and moisturising your skin before sleeping is an absolute must.

Exfoliate:More than the rest of the year ,it's really important to exfoliate your skin in the summer to remove dead skin and improve blood circulation to the face. Choose from any of the cosmetic scrubs available in the market or make one at home. Try this simple one using 4 to 5 tbsps of gram flour , a pinch of turmeric, 5-6 drops of rose water and milk or yoghurt.  Mix it into a paste and use it to exfoliate your face. 

Toning: Toning is very necessary for your skin after scrubbing especially in summer. You can use a flower based skin tonic( rose,lavender etc). You can mix astringent toner with rose water and refrigerate it. Use this toner several times a day for getting beautiful skin in summer.

Hydrating:  Drink a lots and lots of water(10 glasses a day is a must) and fresh juices in summer. In order to retain moisture to your skin in taking lots of water is very essential.

Healthy Diet:  Try taking a lots of fruits and vegetables in summer.  Also try eating diet rich in calcium(dairy products) as calcium can be lost in sweating. Also take diet rich in vitamin E( nuts as almonds) for great skin. In summer season spicy and oily foods must be avoided.
